Jansen, Shelly

I bring nearly three decades of experience in education to my role as a middle school counselor, and I am passionate about supporting the social, emotional, and academic growth of my students. I earned my master's degree in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, along with an endorsement in School Counseling from the University of Tennessee at Martin. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and seeking support. I enjoy collaborating with teachers, families, and community resources to provide individualized support and help students navigate the challenges of adolescence. Outside of school, I enjoy creating art, writing, spending time with my family, and researching new ideas to continue growing professionally. I am grateful for the opportunity to support and encourage the students of Battle Creek Middle School.
