I am excited to begin my second year as a Battle Creek Bear! Originally from Michigan, Tennessee has been my home for nearly three decades, and I am grateful to call this community home. I earned my bachelor's degree in Education from Martin Luther College and my master's degree in Special Education from Lipscomb University. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to teach students in a variety of settings, from preschool and special education to Algebra I and 8th grade Math. Before joining the BCMS family, I spent 13 years as a Central Lion. I am passionate about helping students grow, building meaningful relationships, and creating a classroom where every student feels supported and encouraged to succeed. When I'm not busy with all things school, I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren, who definitely keep me busy and bring me lots of joy!
